The government has cautioned passengers to be vigilant in verifying the authentic website of ‘Air Suvidha 2.0’ before disclosing personal or travel details, as some deceptive websites are deceiving individuals. The Ministry of Civil Aviation highlighted that certain fraudulent websites are posing as Air Suvidha 2.0 and misleading passengers by directing them to payment gateways.

Passengers are reminded that the services of Air Suvidha 2.0 are provided free of charge, and there is no need for any payment when submitting the Self-Declaration Form. The official Air Suvidha 2.0 portal is specifically located at: https://airsuvidha.civilaviation.gov.in/, as stated by the ministry.

It is emphasized by the ministry that passengers should double-check the website’s URL before sharing any personal or travel-related information and refrain from making payments on any unauthorized website that claims to offer Air Suvidha 2.0 services. Passengers are urged to utilize only the official portal and trust official Government communications for accurate information.

The Ministry of Civil Aviation, in partnership with Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), recently introduced ‘Air Suvidha 2.0’, an upgraded and entirely contactless Passenger Health Self-Declaration Portal. This initiative aims to strengthen public health surveillance at international Points of Entry in response to concerns arising from the current Ebola disease outbreak.

The enhanced platform has been launched following the World Health Organization’s (WHO) declaration of the Ebola/Bundibugyo virus disease outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and Uganda as a Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC) on May 17 under the International Health Regulations (IHR) 2005. It is designed to streamline health monitoring processes while ensuring a seamless and convenient experience for passengers arriving in India.

Authorities have indicated that the upgraded system enables real-time sharing of passenger data with various agencies, including the Airport Health Officer, Bureau of Immigration, Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme (IDSP), and State Surveillance Officers. This integrated data-sharing mechanism aims to promptly identify travelers at risk and facilitate timely referral, monitoring, and essential public health interventions. Simultaneously, the process is intended to be smooth and entirely contactless, eliminating the necessity for physical declaration of forms upon arrival.
