Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi praised the BJP’s success in West Bengal, calling it a pivotal moment in governance. With the BJP leading in over 200 seats in the 294-member West Bengal Assembly, Sanghavi highlighted the end of “jungle raj” and the potential for Central government schemes to benefit all citizens.
Sanghavi emphasized that the election outcome would facilitate broader access to government initiatives, fostering new opportunities for development and employment. He also commended the BJP’s performance in Assam, where the party is poised to secure a third consecutive term in office.
The Deputy CM expressed gratitude to voters for their support, acknowledging the significant impact of party workers and their families in achieving this victory. Celebrations at the BJP state headquarters included jubilant chants, music, and the distribution of sweets, with leaders and workers enjoying jhalmuri at a stall during the event.
Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and state BJP president Jagdish Vishwakarma were in attendance at the celebratory gathering. Additionally, the BJP clinched a resounding win in the Umreth Assembly by-election in Gujarat’s Anand district, with candidate Harshad Parmar securing victory by a substantial margin after 23 rounds of counting.
The by-election, held due to the passing of BJP MLA Govind Parmar, saw a voter turnout of approximately 54.4%, indicating moderate participation across the constituency.
