The Gujarat State Monitoring Cell conducted a raid in Botad district, seizing Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) valued at approximately Rs 40.73 lakh. The operation, near Anida village on Sanjavadar Road in Gadhada taluka, was linked to Vikram Goletar and falls under Dhasa Police Station’s jurisdiction.

Police recovered 12,768 bottles of IMFL worth Rs 40,73,872 and a vehicle valued at Rs 15 lakh during the raid. The total estimated value of the seized property, including liquor, vehicle, and other items, amounts to Rs 55,97,072. A case has been filed under various sections of the Gujarat Prohibition Act and Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.

The Gujarat State Monitoring Cell has identified six wanted accused in connection with the case, including Vikram Goletar, Pravin Rathod, and others. All six accused are currently evading authorities, and the investigation is ongoing. This seizure is part of a series of enforcement actions against liquor violations in Gujarat.

In recent similar operations, the SMC seized liquor worth Rs 1.51 crore in Rajkot district and more than Rs 63 lakh near Halenda village. These actions reflect the continuous efforts to combat illegal liquor transportation and distribution in Gujarat under the prevailing prohibition laws.
