Guyana’s Vice President Bharrat Jagdeo arrived in New Delhi to participate in the AI Impact Summit. He was welcomed by Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Nityanand Rai. This summit is a significant event in the Global South, emphasizing the importance of AI in public systems.
Recently, Guyana’s President Irfaan Ali conveyed warm wishes to PM Narendra Modi and the people of India on Republic Day. He praised India’s role as the world’s largest democracy, advocating for developing nations’ interests on the global platform.
President Ali highlighted the enduring bond between Guyana and India, emphasizing mutual respect and collaboration across various sectors. He expressed optimism for the continued strengthening of bilateral relations, focusing on prosperity, sustainability, and representing the Global South collectively.
