Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini highlighted that combating drugs is not just about law enforcement but safeguarding society and values. He stressed the importance of involving the public in this initiative to combat drug-related issues effectively. Addressing the “Ek Police, Ek Sankalp – Drug-Free Haryana” event in Karnal, he commended students for excelling in the NEET exam, attributing their success to government support for quality education.
The Chief Minister, speaking at the Haryana Police Academy, urged for a collective effort to make the state drug-free. He emphasized the need for police stations to engage with various community stakeholders to deter youth from drugs and crime. Saini also emphasized the role of technology in combating drug trafficking and the importance of dismantling entire drug networks, not just arresting traffickers.
During the event, the Chief Minister released the Police Department’s quarterly magazine, showcasing its achievements and operations. He called for police stations to be hubs for social change and encouraged interactions with schools, colleges, and youth organizations. Saini underscored the government’s focus on steering Haryana’s youth towards sports to build a healthy and disciplined generation, aiming to make the state a sports hub for nurturing talented athletes.
