Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini recently initiated nine major healthcare projects totaling Rs 100 crore in Panchkula. This included the inauguration of 30 health institutions built at Rs 22.29 crore and laying the foundation stones for 16 more costing Rs 21.50 crore. Additionally, a rest house at the District Civil Hospital in Sonipat was inaugurated at a cost of Rs 6.45 crore.
Chief Minister Saini also introduced “Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar” Clinics in 23 district hospitals with an annual operational cost of Rs 0.34 crore. Furthermore, he expanded CT scan and MRI services through public-private partnerships, inaugurating MRI facilities in Panipat and Kurukshetra at Rs 12 crore and CT scan services in Bahadurgarh and Dadri at Rs 10 crore.
Moreover, tele-ECG services were launched across 600 health institutions at an annual cost of Rs 3 crore for timely detection and treatment of heart diseases. The healthcare sector received equipment worth over Rs 24 crore under Corporate Social Responsibility, benefiting the public with anesthesia workstations, defibrillators, X-ray machines, TrueNat machines, and ICU beds.
Free dialysis facilities were introduced at Maharishi Chyavan Medical College in Narnaul and Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Government Medical College in Faridabad, costing Rs 3.6 crore annually. The Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone for Amrit Pharmacies in 23 district hospitals at a cost of Rs 1.73 crore to offer affordable branded medicines to the public.
Furthermore, a disaster management training program for 4,600 ASHA workers was launched at a cost of Rs 0.91 crore. Chief Minister Saini highlighted the significant progress in India’s healthcare sector over the past 12 years under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, emphasizing the improved accessibility of healthcare services to the underprivileged.
