Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini revealed projects totaling Rs 253 crore at a rally in Jind, focusing on enhancing infrastructure and public services in the district. The projects included laying foundation stones for 12 initiatives worth Rs 140.87 crore and inaugurating three projects costing Rs 112 crore. Notably, the reconstruction of Jind Distributary No. 4, completed at a cost of Rs 16 crore, was among the key inaugurations.
The initiatives also encompassed modern micro-irrigation systems at the village level, solar-powered irrigation facilities, and a water storage reservoir in Intal Khurd village. Additionally, the Chief Minister inaugurated the Dr B.R. Ambedkar Library building at Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University, constructed at a cost of Rs 56 crore. Emphasizing infrastructure development, projects in agriculture marketing, housing, roads, health, drainage, and water supply were initiated, including a purchase center at Manoharpur village by the Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board.
Furthermore, foundation stones were laid for widening and strengthening projects like the Nirjan approach road and the Kandela route via Safidon, covering several villages. The Chief Minister also kickstarted initiatives under the CRIF scheme for the four-laning, widening, and strengthening of key corridors, involving an expenditure of Rs 56 crore. Other projects included the construction of an Integrated Sainik Sadan, a community health center at Kandela village, and drainage infrastructure improvements at Manoharpur village.
In addition, the Chief Minister initiated projects by the Public Health Engineering Department amounting to Rs 35 crore.
