Haryana’s Ramita Jindal and Himanshu Dhillon secured the gold medal in the 10m air rifle mixed team event at the 68th National Shooting Championship in Bhopal. They defeated Maharashtra’s Arya Borse and Parth Mane 16-12 in the final match. Himanshu, who had set a new national record the day before, continued his impressive performance.
Delhi’s Rajshree Sancheti and Paarth Makhija claimed the bronze medal by defeating the Madhya Pradesh pair in a hard-fought match. In the junior category, West Bengal’s Sandrata Roy and Abhinav Shaw won the gold by defeating Tamil Nadu’s duo. Karnataka’s Hrudya Shri Kondur and Naraen Pranav secured the bronze.
Maharashtra’s Isha Anil Taksale and Pritam Kendre won the youth category gold after a close contest. The championship now moves to New Delhi for the 25m Rapid Fire Pistol Men finals on December 26 at the Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range.
