Haryana Minister Anil Vij stated that the INDIA alliance is a thing of the past, asserting that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will soon govern Punjab. Vij criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for his inconsistent statements, noting a lack of continuity in his political reactions. He attributed Rahul Gandhi’s changing stances to pressure from repeated electoral losses, leading to contradictory statements.
Vij addressed concerns about law and order in West Bengal following an incident involving TMC leader Abhishek Banerjee, stating that the situation is under government investigation. He emphasized the need to await the investigation’s completion before drawing conclusions. Regarding the INDIA bloc, Vij reiterated its irrelevance, citing a lack of shared ideology and political cohesion among the parties involved.
Expressing confidence in the BJP’s future in Punjab, Vij highlighted the party’s effective governance under Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He claimed that opposition strongholds are weakening nationwide, predicting BJP rule in Punjab as desired by the state’s residents. Vij also discussed his approach to governance, emphasizing accountability and efficiency without micromanaging officials.
Vij refrained from commenting on the leadership change in Karnataka, considering it an internal matter of the respective political party. He acknowledged internal challenges within the party and welcomed Dr. Archana Gupta’s appointment as the new Haryana BJP state president. Vij praised the move as a step towards women’s empowerment and anticipated renewed energy within the organization under her leadership.
