A high-speed accident involving a Lamborghini caused panic in Kanpur’s upscale Gwaltoli area, leaving several people injured and prompting a detailed police investigation. The incident occurred on a busy VIP road in the posh locality, where the speeding vehicle driven by a tobacco baron’s son collided with pedestrians and multiple two-wheelers.
Police officials reported that the black Lamborghini Revuelto was being driven at an excessive speed when it lost control, hitting people and vehicles on the road. Initial reports indicated around three people were injured, but later information revealed that at least six individuals sustained injuries in the crash.
All the injured were promptly taken to nearby hospitals for treatment. Despite some victims suffering serious injuries, none are considered to be in a life-threatening condition. The luxury car came to a stop automatically after the collision, preventing the driver from fleeing the scene.
Local residents and passersby alerted the police, who quickly arrived, secured the area, and seized the vehicle. A case has been registered based on a complaint from one of the injured victims. The driver, identified as the son of a tobacco baron, was detained for questioning, with officials suggesting he was possibly under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.
