Hindu saints and seers, including Jagadguru from Ayodhya Dham, have expressed their support for the decision to prohibit non-Hindus from entering Har Ki Pauri in Haridwar, a renowned pilgrimage site. Mahant Sitaram Das of Saket Bhawan temple criticized the halt of Shankaracharya’s palanquin during Mauni Amavasya, attributing it to attempts to tarnish the event’s reputation.

He urged Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand to be cautious of those aiming to defame the nation and culture. Karan Das Maharaj condemned the mistreatment of Shankaracharya during Mauni Amavasya, calling for a thorough investigation and strict action. He also supported the restriction on non-Hindus at Har Ki Pauri, emphasizing the importance of protecting Maa Ganga.

Mahamandaleshwar Vishnu Das highlighted the significance of Mauni Amavasya for bathing rituals and defended the administration’s decision to halt Shankaracharya’s chariot for safety reasons. Jagadguru Paramhans Acharya Maharaj endorsed limiting the entry of non-Hindus at Hindu religious sites, citing recent incidents and emphasizing the sanctity of these places.
