A strong showing in the second round propelled Hitaashee Bakshi into the top 10 at the Australian WPGA Championships in Gold Coast. Bakshi’s 3-under 68 placed her at a total of 5-under 137, sharing the eighth spot. Diksha Dagar, after an impressive start, slipped to tied-16th with a 1-over 72.
Pranavi Urs made the cut at 2-over par, securing a tied-60th position with consistent rounds of 72. However, Vani Kapoor narrowly missed the cut by one shot, finishing outside with scores of 73 and 72.
In the lead, Australia’s Hannah Green continued her dominance with a 4-under 67, reaching 10-under overall. She holds a two-shot lead, with England’s Meghan Maclaren following closely at 8-under. First-round leader Kelsey Macdonald dropped to tied-34th after a challenging round.
Bakshi’s round showcased her skill, starting with a birdie after an early bogey. She closed with a 68, marked by three consecutive birdies on the front nine. Dagar, on the other hand, faced ups and downs, finishing at 3-under overall. Pranavi Urs secured her weekend spot with a steady performance, while Kapoor narrowly missed advancing.
