Hollywood actor Danny Glover, known for his roles in films like ‘Lethal Weapon’, disclosed that he has been fighting Alzheimer’s disease for a few years.
Glover gained fame in the 1980s through significant performances in movies such as ‘Places in the Heart’, ‘The Color Purple’, and ‘Predator 2’. He shared on the ‘Today’ show that he is coping with the disease, acknowledging that changes will come as it progresses.
Despite being honored with an Oscar in 2022, Glover was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease shortly after. His recent acting projects include portraying Santa Claus in the 2023 TV movie ‘The Naughty Nine’ and roles in the 2022 indie films ‘American Dreamer’ and ‘Press Play’.
His daughter Mandisa emphasized the importance of Glover controlling his own life story and speaking for himself. Glover, a nominee for multiple Emmy Awards and a winner of the Independent Spirit Award, has also received recognition with Actors Awards nominations and Grammy nods.
