Captain Aneeshwar Gautam led Hubli Tigers to a seven-wicket victory over Mysore Warriors in the Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 tournament. Gautam’s unbeaten half-century guided the Tigers to chase down a target of 162 with ease, finishing at 162/3 with 15 balls remaining. The Tigers’ strong performance came after their first match was washed out.
The chase had a shaky start with an early dismissal, but Mohammad Taha and Mayank Agarwal steadied the innings with aggressive batting. Taha’s quick half-century off 31 balls, including five fours and three sixes, set the stage for victory. Gautam then took charge, scoring an unbeaten 60 off 41 deliveries to seal the win for Hubli Tigers.
Mysore Warriors, despite a promising start, faltered in their batting innings. Despite contributions from several players, they collapsed after reaching 99/2, eventually getting bowled out for 161. Hubli Tigers’ bowlers Hardik Raj and L R Kumar played key roles in triggering the collapse.
