Police in Hyderabad have implemented traffic restrictions on key routes due to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the city on Sunday. The restrictions are in place within the Hyderabad, Cyberabad, and Malkajgiri police commissionerates from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. Traffic curbs and temporary stoppages are in effect at specific locations in the city. Citizens are advised to avoid certain road stretches along the Prime Minister’s convoy route from Begumpet Airport to Hitech City, Cyberabad, where he will launch development projects and inaugurate Sindhu Hospital.
After arriving at Begumpet Airport from Bengaluru, the Prime Minister will travel by road to HICC, Cyberabad, to lay the foundation stone for multiple development projects valued at around ₹9,377 crore. Additionally, he will inaugurate Sindhu Hospital, a cancer-focused, multi-super specialty institution. Subsequently, he will proceed to Parade Grounds, Secunderabad, for a public meeting where various development projects will be launched.
Over 2,000 police personnel, including specialized forces, are deployed for security, crowd management, and public safety at the public meeting under the supervision of Malkajgiri Police Commissioner B. Sumathi. Security measures include CCTV monitoring, anti-sabotage checks, and deployment of specialized forces like OCTOPUS and NSG. Prohibited items at the venue include cameras, bags, helmets, water bottles, sharp objects, and electronic gadgets.
To ensure smooth traffic flow, the public is advised to avoid certain roads in Secunderabad during the event hours. Passengers heading to Secunderabad Railway Station are urged to start early, and the use of Metro Rail services is recommended. Security and traffic arrangements are confirmed for the public meeting, with advance advisories issued to the public regarding traffic diversions. The estimated attendance for the event is 100,000 people, with adequate arrangements made to accommodate the crowd.
