Hyderabad’s Aman Rao Perala impressed with a double century against Bengal in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, marking only his third List A appearance. Initially starting cautiously, he accelerated to reach his half-century in 65 balls and then his maiden List A hundred in 107 balls. Perala’s innings included 12 fours and 13 sixes, propelling Hyderabad to a total of 352/5.
Aman’s remarkable surge saw him go from 150 to 200 in just 20 balls, achieving the double century in the final over. This feat makes him the 15th Indian man to achieve a double century in List A cricket. Notably, this was only the ninth double century ever recorded in the Vijay Hazare Trophy history.
In addition to his recent List A debut, Aman has already showcased his skills in T20 cricket with 301 runs in 11 matches at an average of 33.44 and a striking rate of 162.70. His outstanding performance in this match places him among the top scorers of the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy edition, following closely behind Swastik Samal’s 212.
