Wicketkeeper-batter Dhruv Jurel will lead the India A squad for two multi-day matches in Sri Lanka, with Auqib Nabi earning his first call-up. The squad, selected by the Ajit Agarkar-led committee, includes Devdutt Padikkal as vice-captain. The team will play in Galle from June 25 to July 5 before the Test series in August.

The focus will be on adapting to spin-friendly conditions and the red Kookaburra ball. Alongside Jurel and Padikkal, the batting lineup features Sai Sudharsan, Ruturaj Gaikwad, and N Jagadeesan. Aman Mokhade and Shaik Rasheed are also new additions to the squad.

The bowling department includes Nabi, Yash Thakur, Anshul Kamboj, and Gurnoor Brar, with Auqib standing out for his impressive performance in the Ranji Trophy. Spin duties will be handled by Zeeshan Ansari, Saransh Jain, and Ayush Badoni. Gaikwad, Badoni, Thakur, and Kamboj are already in Sri Lanka for a tri-series starting on June 9.
