The women’s team secured a spot in the semifinals scheduled for Friday at the Taj Cidade de Goa Horizon. India B also excelled, leading the Seniors table, while India A remained competitive in various divisions as the tournament approaches its final qualifying rounds.
In the Women’s category, China claimed the top spot with 127.61 Victory Points (VPs), followed by Indonesia, India A, and Japan. These four teams will compete in the upcoming semifinals. Meanwhile, India B concluded its campaign in ninth place with 69.98 VPs.
In the Seniors division, India B dominated with 144.67 VPs, maintaining a significant lead over Australia in second place. Chinese Taipei secured the third spot, with Japan and India A closely following. With three rounds remaining, the competition remains intense.
The Open (Men’s) division witnessed China and Hong Kong China A securing their spots in the semifinals. India A stands strong in third place and is likely to qualify. The battle for the final berth continues between Bangladesh B, India B, and Japan with two matches left.
The Mixed division remains unpredictable, with China A, China B, and Hong Kong China A already qualifying. The fourth spot is up for grabs, with Singapore, Thailand, India A, and Australia B in contention.
The qualification rounds will conclude on Thursday, determining the semifinalists in each division. The knockout rounds and Pairs Qualifying Series will commence on Friday, leading up to the Grand Finals and closing ceremony on Saturday.
