The upcoming ‘India AI Impact Summit 2026’ in New Delhi, scheduled from February 16-20, has already seen an impressive response, with more than 35,000 registrations received. Participants from over 100 countries, including heads of government, ministers, and CEOs from global and Indian companies, are expected to attend. This summit is set to be the largest among the four global AI summits held so far, emphasizing responsible and impactful Artificial Intelligence.
The Ministry of Electronics and IT disclosed that the event will feature over 500 AI startups and around 500 sessions. Additionally, the summit will encompass seven flagship events, engaging a total of over 3 lakh participants, showcasing the widespread national and international interest in the AI Impact Summit initiative. The focus has shifted from AI risks to discussions on ethics, inclusion, and the practical implementation of shared principles.

Notably, the summit will highlight 12 promising Indian startups specializing in healthcare and multilingual technology, aiming to attract foreign investments and talent, thereby supporting India’s ambition of achieving a $1 trillion digital economy by 2030. The India AI Mission, initiated in 2024 with a $1.2 billion budget, has played a crucial role in democratizing access to computing resources, datasets, and talent development.
