The ‘India AI Impact Summit 2026’ concluded with commitments for over $200 billion in AI-related investments. Adani Group plans a $100 billion investment by 2035, while Reliance Industries pledged $110 billion over seven years for AI-focused infrastructure. Tata Group partnered with OpenAI for AI-ready data centers, and General Catalyst committed $5 billion over five years, with Lightspeed Venture Partners announcing $10 billion investments.
Sundar Pichai of Alphabet and Google revealed plans for new India–US subsea cable routes and a $15 billion AI hub in Visakhapatnam. Google aims to train 20 million civil servants, support 11 million students, and enhance AI research collaborations. The Summit also expanded India’s sovereign compute capacity, adding 20,000 GPUs to the existing 38,000 under the IndiaAI Mission.
The event saw significant participation, with around 6 lakh attendees in person and over 9 lakh views through virtual streaming. India set a Guinness World Record for the “Most pledges received for an AI responsibility campaign in 24 hours,” with over 2.5 lakh validated pledges. The ‘India AI Impact Summit Declaration’ gained endorsement from 92 countries and international organizations, recognizing the work of seven thematic groups.
