This collaboration aims to boost advancements in various cutting-edge technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, 6G telecommunications, clean energy, and quantum computing. PM Modi highlighted that this strategic partnership will inject new vigor and direction into the ties between the two nations.
The Prime Minister underscored the significance of the India-European Union Free Trade Agreement in fortifying trade, investment, and technology cooperation between India and Finland. During bilateral discussions with Finnish President Alexander Stubb, both leaders explored avenues to broaden cooperation across multiple sectors and deepen economic ties between the two countries.
The talks held at Hyderabad House in New Delhi covered a wide array of issues aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation and reinforcing strategic relations. Discussions also encompassed regional and global developments, along with deliberations on collaboration in multilateral forums. PM Modi hosted a lunch in honor of President Stubb following the productive discussions.
External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar engaged with the Finnish President earlier in the day to discuss bilateral relations ahead of the high-level meeting with the Prime Minister. Jaishankar also expressed anticipation for President Stubb’s keynote address at the upcoming Raisina Dialogue.
