Members of the INDIA bloc protested in the Parliament Complex, criticizing the government for its silence on the escalating West Asia conflict. Opposition parties are urging the Centre to take a firm stance on the issue and ensure the safe return of stranded Indians.

External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar addressed concerns about Indian citizens in Gulf countries and discussed the potential impact on India’s energy security. Despite this, the Opposition remains unsatisfied with the government’s response.

Opposition leaders, including Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav, participated in the protest, emphasizing the need for a comprehensive discussion on the geopolitical crisis. They called for a detailed plan to safeguard energy security, assist traders, and prevent price hikes affecting the public.

Congress members criticized the government’s silence on the Gulf War, highlighting concerns about rising energy costs and the safety of Indian citizens. They demanded a parliamentary debate on the issue, warning of serious consequences for India from the evolving situation.
