India initiated ‘Operation Amistad’ to assist earthquake-affected Venezuela by sending two Indian Air Force planes carrying a field hospital unit and more than 35 tons of relief supplies, medicines, and medical equipment.
External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar announced the launch of Operation Amistad, expressing India’s dedication to supporting Venezuela during this challenging period. The assistance includes an Indian Army Field Hospital Unit and innovative BHISHM Cubes, among other relief items.
The BHISHM Cube is a cutting-edge, rapidly deployable medical facility designed for disaster response, offering advanced trauma care, emergency surgeries, and intensive care for up to 200 patients. India has also dispatched a specialized medical team to Venezuela to provide essential healthcare services and humanitarian relief efforts.
India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed solidarity with Venezuela, offering full support and readiness to extend all possible assistance during this crisis.
