India commemorates the one-year anniversary of the tragic Pahalgam terror attack, where 26 innocent tourists were brutally killed by Pakistan-backed terrorists based on their religion. The Indian Army, through social media, emphasized that any actions against the nation will be met with a resolute response. Operation Mahadev, launched immediately after the attack, led to the elimination of the three main perpetrators after an extensive 93-day search in challenging Himalayan terrain.
The armed forces covered over 300 square kilometers of difficult terrain during Operation Mahadev, culminating in the neutralization of the terrorists responsible for the attack. Ahead of the anniversary, the Indian Army reiterated its unwavering commitment to justice and issued a stern warning against any violations of humanity’s principles. The Army’s strong message emphasized that decisive action will be taken in response to any transgressions of these boundaries.
The Pahalgam terror attack occurred on April 22, 2025, resulting in the deaths of 26 individuals in a horrific assault targeting tourists. The Resistance Front, a faction of the Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba, carried out the attack, singling out victims based on their religion. In response to this heinous act, the Indian armed forces initiated ‘Operation Sindoor,’ a focused military action targeting high-value terror bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir, aimed at deterring further aggression and reinforcing India’s anti-terrorism stance.
