India has announced a formidable 36-member squad for the ISSF World Cup Rifle/Pistol/Shotgun in Hangzhou, China. The team includes renowned Olympic medalists Manu Bhaker and Swapnil Kusale, who will lead the Indian challenge in this prestigious event lasting from July 20 to 29.
The Indian contingent is a mix of seasoned Olympians and promising talents across rifle, pistol, and shotgun disciplines. Athletes will participate in both individual and mixed-team events, showcasing a blend of experience and emerging skills.
The squad features established names like Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar, Esha Singh, Elavenil Valarivan, Anish Bhanwala, Ganemat Sekhon, and others. Competing in various rifle events, the team includes Parth Rakesh Mane, Himanshu Dhillon, Shahu Tushar Mane, Rudrankksh Balasaheb Patil, and more for both men’s and women’s competitions.
India’s pistol campaign will be led by Suruchi, Sainyam, Esha Singh, and other talented shooters across different categories. Additionally, the shotgun events will see participation from Udavir Singh Jajee, Vivaan Kapoor, Pragati Dubey, and others in the men’s and women’s Trap and Skeet competitions.
The tournament, starting on July 22, will witness the first medals being contested in the 10m Air Pistol Mixed Team and the men’s 10m Air Rifle events. The competition will culminate on July 28 with the finals of the 10m Air Rifle Mixed Team and Trap Mixed Team events.
