India excelled at the Taipei Capital Cup 2026, securing two Silver Medals and three Merit Awards at the international skilling competition in Taipei, Taiwan. Competing against participants from 15 countries, Team India showcased technical expertise in various skill categories. The achievement underscores India’s emergence as a global skills powerhouse and its commitment to nurturing industry-ready talent.
Participants from India demonstrated excellence in areas such as mobile application development, software applications, digital construction, and automobile technology. Muskan clinched a Silver Medal in Painting and Decorating, while Arjun Sumathi Vijayabashkar secured a Silver Medal in Mobile Applications Development. Additionally, India received three Merit Awards in different skill categories.
The Silver Medal winners were awarded 8,000 Taiwan Dollars each, while the Merit Award recipients received 5,000 Taiwan Dollars each. Union Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Jayant Chaudhary, praised Team India’s performance, highlighting the youth’s confidence and capability. He emphasized the competition’s role in preparing participants for global events like WorldSkills Shanghai 2026.
Congratulating the winners, Jayant Chaudhary expressed determination to build a competitive workforce and empower the youth. Secretary of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Debashree Mukherjee, also commended the competitors, experts, and mentors for showcasing India’s skilling ecosystem’s strength and the potential of Indian youth.
