A generational knock by Vaibhav Suryavanshi led India U-19 to a massive 100-run victory over England in the summit clash at the Harare Sports Club. Choosing to bat first, India faced an early setback but Suryavanshi’s remarkable innings turned the game around.
Suryavanshi’s aggressive play, supported by Ayush Mhatre, saw them add 142 runs for the second wicket. Suryavanshi’s sensational century in 55 balls paved the way for a monumental total of 411/9 for India.
England’s chase fell short despite Caleb Falconer’s brilliant century. India’s bowlers, led by RS Ambrish, sealed the victory with a disciplined performance, restricting England to 311.
