The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) revealed India’s women’s squads for the upcoming tour of Australia. Spinner Shreyanka Patil returns to the T20I side after a lengthy injury break. The tour will consist of three T20 matches, three One-Day Internationals, and a one-off Test starting on February 15.

The series between India Women and Australia Women is set to run from February 15 to March 9, 2026. The tour kicks off with the T20I series, starting at the Sydney Cricket Ground on February 15. Subsequent matches will take place at the Manuka Oval in Canberra on February 19 and the Adelaide Oval on February 21.

After the T20Is, the focus shifts to the ODI series, starting on February 24 at Allan Border Field in Brisbane. The teams will then move to Hobart’s Bellerive Oval for the second and third ODIs on February 27 and March 1, respectively. The tour will conclude with a one-off Test match from March 6 to March 9 at the Perth Stadium.

The T20I series against Australia serves as vital preparation for the upcoming ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026. India’s T20I squad includes a mix of experienced players and promising young talent, with explosive batters like Shafali Verma and consistent performers such as Jemimah Rodrigues.

Shreyanka, absent from action for around 14 months due to injuries, rejoins the T20I setup after her last appearance at the 2024 T20 World Cup. Richa Ghosh and G Kamalini are the designated wicketkeepers for both white-ball formats.
