The Indian Air Force’s Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team and Sarang Helicopter Display Team engaged with Jaipur’s youth, emphasizing service to the nation with discipline and dedication. The interactive session, held at the Bhagwat Singh Mehta Auditorium, saw participation from NCC cadets, students, and hearing- and speech-impaired individuals. Team members discussed career opportunities, training processes, and the significance of teamwork in military aviation, also announcing an upcoming air show by the Jal Mahal embankment.
The pilots highlighted the air show as a chance for Jaipur residents to witness the Indian Air Force’s operational excellence firsthand. Encouraging students to consider armed forces careers, they stressed the pride of serving the nation. The Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team, established in 1996, is Asia’s sole nine-aircraft aerobatic display team, known for its precision maneuvers and professionalism showcased in various countries.
With over 800 demonstrations globally, the team, led by Group Captain Ajay Dasarathi, exemplifies the Indian Air Force’s capabilities. The Sarang Helicopter Display Team, known for its colorful formations, operates the HAL Dhruv Advanced Light Helicopter, symbolizing India’s aerospace engineering prowess. Both teams share the motto “Sadvait Shrestha,” embodying excellence, discipline, and patriotism.
