Air Vice Marshal Taliyan engaged with India’s Ambassador to Oman, Prashant Pise, updating him on the progress of defence cooperation between the Indian Air Force and the Royal Air Force of Oman. The discussions aimed to enhance mutual cooperation in areas of shared interest over the next two days. Oman is highlighted as India’s closest defence partner in the Gulf region, with defence collaboration being a significant aspect of the strategic partnership between the two nations.
Both countries have a history of joint military exercises, with Oman being the first Gulf nation to conduct such exercises with all three branches of India’s armed forces. Moreover, recent years have seen India and Oman collaborating to ensure maritime security in the Indian Ocean region.
