The K9 teams, including dogs like ‘Alan’, ‘Victor’, and ‘Deo’, exhibited specialized skills, emphasizing the versatility and readiness of Indian Army K9 units.
Lt Col Mahendra Rawat highlighted the participation of indigenous breeds like the ‘Rampur Hound’, such as ‘Victor’, known for adaptability and resilience. These dogs demonstrated their operational effectiveness in various terrains, from deserts to glaciers, showcasing their adaptability and reliability in diverse conditions. The exercise also featured robotic dogs, illustrating the blend of tradition and technology for enhanced operational efficiency in future military endeavors.
The multilateral military exercise, PRAGATI 2026, involving personnel from 12 friendly nations, began on May 20 at the Umroi Military Station in Meghalaya. This two-week-long exercise aims to bolster regional cooperation, interoperability, and strategic coordination among participating countries like Bhutan, Cambodia, Indonesia, and others.
