India’s Mandengbam Jadumani Singh showcased his skill at the 2026 Commonwealth Games by securing a spot in the men’s 55kg boxing quarterfinals. He achieved a dominant 5-0 unanimous decision victory over Pakistan’s Rehman Sumama in the Round of 16. Jadumani’s performance was exceptional, with all five judges unanimously declaring him the winner, highlighting his control and precision in the match.

In a remarkable display, Jadumani outperformed his opponent in all three rounds, displaying sharp combinations, effective footwork, and disciplined defense. The official scorecard revealed that three judges scored the bout 30-27 in favor of Jadumani, while the remaining two judges awarded 29-28 verdicts, emphasizing his clear superiority throughout the three-round contest.

Following his impressive victory in the Round of 32 against Scotland’s Cullen, where he also won by a 5-0 unanimous decision, Jadumani has secured a place in the quarterfinals. Scheduled for July 28 at 7:45 pm local time, he is set to face the winner of the Round of 16 match between Zambia and South Africa for a chance to advance to the semifinals.

Jadumani Singh has emerged as a strong contender for a medal in the men’s 55kg category, displaying composure and confidence in his performances as the boxing competition progresses to the knockout stages.
