The Indian Embassy in Mali has advised all Indian nationals in the country to remain vigilant following multiple attacks by armed groups. The Embassy urged residents to exercise caution, stay indoors, and follow instructions from Malian authorities. It is closely monitoring the situation and will provide updates as necessary.

Indian nationals were asked to stay connected with the Embassy through its website and official social media accounts. Mali’s armed forces confirmed armed terrorist groups attempted attacks in various cities, but the situation is now under control. The attackers faced heavy resistance from the armed forces, leading to neutralization of several terrorists and destruction of equipment.

The General Staff of the Malian Armed Forces urged the public to rely on official sources for information and to avoid spreading unverified content. Reports of blasts and gunfire in Kati, near Bamako, were received. Simultaneous attacks by armed groups were reported in the capital and other regions. The Malian army recently destroyed a training camp in the Segou region, uncovering a significant amount of military equipment.
