Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has arrived in Kuwait as part of his official visit to the Arab nation. He expressed gratitude to Deputy Foreign Minister Hamad Suleiman Mashaan Al-Mashaan for the warm reception and anticipated his upcoming engagements.
During his visit, Jaishankar met with Bahrain’s Deputy Prime Minister Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa to discuss enhancing bilateral cooperation across various sectors. Following the meeting, he shared his pleasure in meeting the deputy prime minister and their discussions on advancing bilateral cooperation and regional matters.
Previously, Jaishankar had an audience with Bahrain King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, conveying personal greetings from President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He appreciated the King’s efforts in ensuring the safety and well-being of the Indian community in Bahrain.
Interacting with the Indian community in Bahrain, Jaishankar listened to their experiences and suggestions for strengthening bilateral ties. He acknowledged their significant contributions to Bahraini society and their role as a vital link between India and Bahrain.
After concluding his engagements in Bahrain and Qatar, Jaishankar proceeded to Kuwait, marking the third stop of his six-nation tour. His itinerary includes visits to Oman, the US, and Brussels in the coming days.
