Hockey India revealed the 22-member Junior Men’s squad set to tour Belgium from July 5 to 18, 2026. This tour marks the team’s first outing under new coach Frederic Soyez and serves as vital preparation for the upcoming FIH Hockey Men’s Junior Asia Cup. The squad will face tough competition from top European teams like Austria, Belgium, Germany, and the Netherlands during the tour.
Defender Anmol Ekka will lead the team during the exposure tour, with Vivek Lakra and Kunal Tewatia as goalkeepers. The defensive lineup includes players like Rohit Kullu, Chirag, and others. The midfield will be managed by players such as Adrohit Ekka and Harpal, while the forward line features talents like Ajeet Yadav and Prabhdeep Singh.
Coach Soyez expressed optimism about the tour, emphasizing its role in enhancing the team’s gameplay, tactical discipline, and unity. The tour schedule includes matches against Austria, Belgium, Germany, and the Netherlands, offering the team valuable international exposure and experience.
