The All India Pickleball Association (AIPA) excelled at the WPC Series in Penang, Malaysia, showcasing India’s growing prowess in international pickleball. Mayur Patil and Vanshik Kapadia clinched the gold medal in the Men’s Doubles 19+ Open category, while Kuldip Mahajan and Nicholas Maleganeas secured a well-deserved Bronze Medal. Vanshika Kapadia triumphed in the Men’s Singles 19+ Open category, with Kuldip Mahajan adding a bronze medal to his achievements.
Maintaining their winning streak, Vrushali Thakare and Vanshika Kapadia claimed the gold medal in the Mixed Doubles 19+ Open, while Aalyka Ebrahim and Willy Chung earned silver. Aalyka Ebrahim and Ariana Muralidharan secured the silver Medal in the Women’s Doubles 19+ Advanced Plus category. Aalyka Ebrahim also stood out in the Women’s Singles 19+ Advanced Plus, winning the gold medal.
Arvind Prabhoo, President of AIPA, commended the players for their dedication and world-class performance at the WPC Series Penang, reflecting India’s pickleball growth. The results underscore India’s rising prominence in global pickleball and highlight AIPA’s commitment to talent development.
Indian players previously excelled at the WPC Asia Pickleball Open, securing gold and silver medals in various categories. Mayur Patil and Vanshik Kapadia claimed gold in the Men’s Doubles 19+ Open, while Aalyka Ebrahim and Agnimitra Bhavatosh Bhattacharya won gold in the Women’s Doubles 19+ Open.
