Indian cricketer Ishan Kishan has surged 32 positions in the recent ICC Men’s T20I batter rankings following a stellar performance against New Zealand. Kishan, who scored 207 runs in three matches, including his first T20I century, now holds the 32nd spot in the rankings ahead of the upcoming T20 World Cup.
In other rankings updates, Indian skipper Suryakumar Yadav has surpassed Pakistan’s Sahibzada Farhan to claim the sixth position, while opener Abhishek Sharma maintains his strong position at the top. Pakistan’s Saim Ayub has secured the top spot in the T20I all-rounders ranking after an outstanding display in the Australia series.
Furthermore, Pakistan’s Abrar Ahmed has made significant progress, moving to the second spot in the rankings, closely trailing Varun Chakravarthy. Mohammad Nawaz, another Pakistani player, has climbed eight places to secure the seventh spot in the bowlers’ ranking after a remarkable performance.
The latest rankings also witnessed movements within the top 10 for T20I batters, with England’s Jos Buttler advancing to third place, Sri Lanka’s Pathum Nissanka rising to fifth, and New Zealand’s Tim Seifert moving to ninth. Notable improvements include South Africa’s Ryan Rickleton moving up 42 places, Australian all-rounder Cameron Green climbing 16 spots, and Quinton De Kock from South Africa gaining 15 places.
