Hemant Burman clinched silver in the Men’s 50m Rifle 3 Positions event, while Zuhair Khan and Addya Katyal secured bronze in the Trap Mixed Team event. India topped the medal tally with a total of 16 medals, including five gold, six silver, and five bronze, at the ISSF Junior World Cup in Cairo, Egypt.

In the Men’s 50m 3-Position event, Hemant Burman claimed silver with a total score of 351.7. He was joined in the final by Vedant Nitin Waghmare and Rohit Kanyan, who finished in sixth and seventh place, respectively. Oleg Noskov from Kazakhstan set a new world junior record to win the gold medal in this event.

Zuhair Khan and Addya Katyal bagged the bronze medal in the Trap Mixed Team event with a final score of 19. Despite a strong start, they slipped to bronze position due to a challenging third series. The gold in this event was secured by Bence Doeboerhegyi and Anna Nyitrai from Hungary.

The Indian shooters Tejal Nathawat, Yugeshwari Bais, Anushka Thokur, and Khwaish Sharma did not secure any medals in the 50m Rifle Prone Women event. The Indian junior athletes are now gearing up for the ISSF Junior World Championship in Suhl, Germany, scheduled for June.
