Prachi Gaikwad clinched gold in the junior women’s 50m Rifle 3 Positions event at the ongoing ISSF Junior World Cup in Cairo, Egypt. She scored 354.6 in the final, surpassing AIN Darya Chuprys who shot 354.4. Another AIN shooter, Elena Kretinina, secured bronze with a score of 343.3.

India secured its second gold through Shiva Narwal in the men’s 10m Air Pistol event. With a total of four silvers and three bronzes, India leads the medal tally at the competition. Prachi was the sole Indian to qualify for the junior women’s 3P final at the Olympic International City Shooting range.

In the junior men’s 10m air rifle event, Naraen Pranav won bronze with a score of 229.5 in the final. Three Indian shooters qualified for the event, with Naraen finishing third, Abhinav Shaw in fourth, and Divyanshu Dewangan in seventh place.

Naraen’s impressive performance, including a perfect 10.9 shot, helped him secure the bronze medal. Vanshika Chaudhary, Sejal Kamble, and Kanak also made it to the junior women’s 10m air pistol final, holding the top three positions on the leaderboard. The final is scheduled for 8.30 pm Indian Standard Time (IST) later today.
