Indian men’s team, led by Gurveer Singh, Yusha Nafees, and Aryaveer Dewan, topped their group in the World Squash Junior Team Championships. They secured a 3-0 victory against the Netherlands and also triumphed over Brazil with Purav Rambhia replacing Gurveer in the lineup.
On the other hand, the Indian women’s team, featuring Saanvi Kalanki, Anika Dubey, and Rudra Singh, started their campaign strongly by defeating Chinese Taipei 3-0. Anahat Singh, the World Junior champion, was rested for the opening round.
In other matches, Canada’s women’s team began with a win against Nigeria, while the men’s team faced defeat against Japan. Defending champions Egypt had a successful start, with their women’s team winning against Brazil and the men’s team securing victories over the Netherlands and New Zealand.
The results from the group stage saw India defeating the Netherlands and Brazil in the men’s category, while the women’s team triumphed over Chinese Taipei.
