The Indian U18 men’s team triumphed over Australia with a 6-3 victory, tying the series at 1-1. The match showcased India’s dominance, with Akash Deep and Shahrukh Ali scoring early goals. Ketan Kushwaha and Romit Pal further solidified India’s lead in the second quarter.

Kushwaha’s second goal in the third quarter, along with Ansh Bahutra’s contribution, sealed the win for India. Despite Australia’s efforts through Owen Taylor, Oscar Freeman, and Jack Weller, India’s defense held strong in the final quarter.

In contrast, the India U18 women’s team faced a 2-1 defeat against Australia. Anneliese Cullen and Stella Bartholomeusz’s goals put Australia in the lead, with Sandeepa Kumari scoring the lone goal for India. Despite a resilient effort, India couldn’t find the equalizer.

Both the men’s and women’s teams will face Australia in their final matches at the Udhav Das Mehta (Bhai Ji) Central SAI Centre in Bhopal on Wednesday.
