The Indian U19 men’s team is set to visit Sri Lanka in July 2026 for a series that includes three one-day matches and two four-day games. Sri Lanka Cricket announced this bilateral series, with the tour commencing on July 4 at the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium in Hambantota. Following this, the team will play the second and third one-day matches at the same venue on July 6 and 9.
Moving on to the longer format, the first four-day game is scheduled from July 13 to 16 at the Galle International Cricket Stadium, while the second will take place from July 20 to 23 at the R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium in Colombo. This series aims to offer significant exposure to the emerging cricketers from both nations, particularly with India’s recent victory in the Men’s U19 World Cup.
After the Sri Lanka tour, the Indian U19 team will host Australia for a three-match one-day series in Rajkot in September, followed by two four-day games starting on September 27 in Rajkot and October 5 in Ahmedabad. Notably, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, India’s 15-year-old batting sensation, remains eligible for both the Sri Lanka and Australia series. Sooryavanshi gained attention during the U19 series against Australia in 2024 when he scored a remarkable 104 off 62 balls as a 13-year-old in Chennai.
