The Indian Women’s Hockey Team wrapped up their four-match friendly series against Australia with a narrow 2-3 loss in the final game in Perth. Despite the defeat, the series ended in a 2-2 draw, showcasing a competitive showdown between the two teams. India started strong, securing a 2-0 lead at half-time with goals from Navneet Kaur and Deepika Soreng.

Australia staged a comeback in the third quarter, equalizing through goals from Abby Wilson and Olivia Downes. The hosts sealed their victory with a late strike from Courtney Schonell, clinching a 3-2 win. Throughout the series, India displayed resilience, tactical prowess, and a strong attacking game, setting a positive tone for the upcoming season.

In a previous match, the Indian team triumphed with a 2-0 win over Australia, taking the lead in the series after bouncing back from an initial defeat. The third match witnessed a goalless first half, with Sonam scoring a field goal in the third quarter to put India ahead. Lalremsiami further extended the lead with a goal in the final quarter, securing a 2-0 victory for India.
