Indian Women’s Team Defeats Hertha BSC Frauen in Friendly Match

The Indian senior women’s national team secured a 1-0 victory against German side Hertha BSC Frauen in a friendly match held at the S&B Sport Football Complex in Serik, Antalya, Turkiye. Grace Dangmei scored the winning goal in the 37th minute, leading the Blue Tigresses to success as they prepare for the AFC Women’s Asian Cup Australia 2026.

Currently in Antalya for their pre-tournament preparations, the Blue Tigresses will continue training in Turkiye until the beginning of February before heading to Perth, Australia. Their first match in the Asian Cup is scheduled against Vietnam on March 4 at the Perth Rectangular Stadium.

In addition to their recent victory, India’s women’s team is set to play two more friendly matches in Serik. They will face Zvezda-2005 Perm from Russia on February 4 and then meet FK Csikszereda Miercurea Ciuc from Romania on February 7, both matches taking place at the same venue.
