The Indian women’s team secured a 3-1 victory against Korea in their second Pool A match of the U18 Asia Cup held in Kakamigahara. Goals from Nousheen Naz, Shruti Kumari, and Kiran Ekka contributed to India’s win, maintaining their successful streak after beating Malaysia on the opening day. India took an early lead with Nousheen’s penalty stroke in the first quarter.

In a strong display, India extended their lead to 2-0 in the second quarter with Shruti’s field goal. Despite Korea’s goal in the third quarter by Gyeongmin Ryu, India quickly responded with Kiran Ekka’s successful penalty corner, making it 3-1. Ekka was also named Player of the Match for her performance.

India’s disciplined play in the final quarter prevented Korea from scoring further, securing their victory. With six points from wins against Malaysia and Korea, India leads Pool A and aims to continue their unbeaten run against Singapore on June 2.
