Indian wrestlers Chandermohan, Sachin Mor, Neha, and Kajal from the Pro Wrestling League (PWL) will participate in the U-17 & U-23 Asian Wrestling Championships in Da Nang, Vietnam, from May 23 to 31. These athletes, who played key roles in PWL 2026, highlight the league’s importance in nurturing India’s wrestling talent.

Chandermohan, the reigning U-23 Asian champion from Punjab Royals, will compete in the 79kg category, while Sachin Mor from Haryana Thunders, a standout in PWL 2026, will represent India in the 86kg division. The U-23 women’s team will include Neha (59kg) and Kajal (76kg) from Haryana Thunders, both instrumental in the franchise’s success in PWL 2026.

Neha, a bronze medalist at the U20 World Championships and gold medalist at the U17 Asian Championships, brings significant international experience. Kajal, a multiple champion, arrives in Da Nang as a U20 World Champion, U17 World Champion, and U20 Asian Champion, showcasing India’s promising wrestling talent.

The presence of these PWL athletes in India’s squad underscores the league’s role in enhancing the country’s wrestling landscape beyond domestic competitions. PWL’s emphasis on providing young Indian wrestlers exposure to top international standards has been crucial in their development and success.

PWL has been instrumental in bridging grassroots wrestling in India with global standards, aiming to prepare athletes for success at international levels. The league’s CEO, Akhil Gupta, envisions a sustainable ecosystem that supports emerging talent and contributes to the growth of Indian wrestling.

The selection of PWL wrestlers for the U-17 & U-23 Asian Wrestling Championships demonstrates the league’s commitment to identifying and showcasing India’s future wrestling stars on the global stage. India looks forward to a strong performance at the championships in Da Nang, featuring top emerging wrestlers from across Asia.
