India’s cricketer Tilak Varma revealed that his teammate Abhishek Sharma has been released from the hospital after being hospitalized for a stomach infection. The decision on his participation in the match against Namibia at the Arun Jaitley Stadium will be made on the match day. Abhishek missed a training session due to the illness, as confirmed by assistant coach Ryan ten Doeschate.

Tilak Varma updated reporters in a pre-match press conference that Abhishek is recovering well after the hospital discharge. The team will assess his condition before finalizing his involvement in the upcoming game. Meanwhile, pace bowler Jasprit Bumrah’s availability for the match will be determined by the team management.

Varma expressed the team’s eagerness for the upcoming high-stakes encounter against Pakistan at the R Premadasa Stadium on February 15. The players are fully prepared and closely monitoring the performances of other teams. The excitement is palpable among the players, with Varma emphasizing their readiness and focus for the crucial match ahead.
