India’s Ambassador to Japan, Nagma Mallick, engaged in discussions with Yamanashi Prefecture’s Vice Governor, Junichi Ishidera, focusing on enhancing cooperation between Yamanashi Prefecture and various Indian states. The Indian Embassy in Japan shared that Ambassador Mallick visited the Yamanashi Hydrogen Company (YHC) and met with chairman Yoshihiko Shimizu and other officials, exploring advancements in Green Hydrogen production technology.
During her visit, Mallick also met with Japan’s Minister of Economic Security in Tokyo to deliberate on bilateral partnership aspects such as economic security, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and cultural ties. Additionally, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and his Japanese counterpart Toshimitsu Motegi co-chaired the 18th India-Japan Strategic Dialogue in New Delhi, emphasizing discussions on economic, maritime, supply chain, critical mineral, technology, and multilateral cooperation.
Furthermore, Toshimitsu Motegi, the Japanese Foreign Minister, held discussions with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, underscoring the shared values and strategic interests between Japan and India. Both sides expressed commitment to deepen cooperation based on the Japan-India Special Strategic and Global Partnership, with plans to enhance bilateral exchanges in 2027, marking the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two nations.
