India’s Ambassador to Kuwait, Paramita Tripathi, met with Kuwait’s Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs, Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sabah, to enhance the strategic partnership between the two countries. Discussions focused on various sectors, including technology, research, and innovation, as well as regional developments. Ambassador Tripathi emphasized India’s support for peaceful resolutions through dialogue and the importance of safe navigation in the Strait of Hormuz for regional stability.
During a virtual meeting, Sameer Kumar Sinha, Secretary of the Ministry of Civil Aviation, engaged with Sheikh Hamoud Mubarak Hamoud Al-Sabah, President of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Kuwait, to facilitate the resumption of flight operations by Indian carriers from Kuwait. The aim was to improve connectivity and convenience for the large Indian community in Kuwait.
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar also had a telephonic conversation with Kuwait’s Foreign Minister, Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, discussing the situation in West Asia and the well-being of the Indian community. Both ministers exchanged views on regional developments and ongoing efforts to address them.
