India’s medical aid in earthquake-affected Venezuela, known as ‘Operation Amistad’, has been commended by a survivor with multiple fractures. The survivor highlighted the excellent treatment received at the Field Hospital set up by the Indian Army, mentioning the gentle and pain-free care provided by the medical staff. The survivor expressed gratitude in a video shared by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), thanking the Indian team for their support during the crisis.
A local individual, who accompanied a patient to the field hospital, also praised the Indian medical team for their skills, dedication, and compassionate care towards the patients. The local witness admired the commitment shown by the Indian medical professionals in providing care under challenging circumstances. Expressing deep gratitude, she emphasized the dedication, effort, and love evident in the treatment of each patient at the Army Field Hospital in Venezuela.
The MEA shared a video and pictures showcasing the medical assistance being offered at the field hospital by the Indian Army in Venezuela post the twin earthquakes on June 24. External Affairs Minister (EAM) S Jaishankar expressed confidence in the impact of the humanitarian aid sent by India to Venezuela, including the Field Hospital Unit, relief supplies, medicines, and medical equipment, in supporting the ongoing post-earthquake relief efforts in the country.
